TTM Technologies Agrees US$650 Million Acquisition of Ophir Optics

TTM Technologies has agreed to acquire the Ophir Optics business from MKS for approximately US$650 million, bringing high precision infrared thermal imaging and laser optics capabilities into its portfolio for defence, security and industrial applications. HPC could search globally for smaller optics, photonics, infrared, laser and precision engineering companies that could become strategic acquisition targets for larger technology and defence groups, with one successful introduction potentially producing more than US$100,000.
